The sheet of white
I feel the loneliness settle,
It smoothers me inside,
Your scent lingers and feeds memories,
While I lay on this sheet of white.
I can’t touch or caress,
You’re so far from me,
The want and the need,
I can’t pull away.
The pitch of black envelopes the light,
I absorb you through,
Crawl under my skin,
While I lay on this sheet of white.
